I took a vacation to the Caribbean this January with a few girlfriends to celebrate one of their birthdays. As I packed, I felt thrilled at the thought of seeing the stunning waters of Anguilla again. I was eager to see the hilly scenery of Saint Martin/Sint Maarten. My husband and I honeymooned there in 2019. Another exciting aspect of this trip was the opportunity to finally visit St. Barth – I couldn’t wait!
Every time I travel out of town, the essentials I pack first are my skincare necessities, including facial products. I headed to the Caribbean. The temperature hovered around 82 degrees. I knew my favorite sunscreen, facial mist, and sunglasses were a must. I should mention that the mini products I bring along are matched by full-sized versions at home. Sticking to my normal routine is important, and I focus on adding extra hydration while visiting warmer or cooler climates. Travel exposes your skin to various environmental stressors, including changes in humidity, pollution, and high altitudes. Airplane air is extremely dry. It can strip moisture from your skin. This leads to dehydration and an uneven complexion. So be mindful as you gear up for your upcoming travel plans!

Glow Oil by Supergoop is my favorite sunscreen. It works well with facial moisturizer and doesn’t clog pores. Plus, it gives your skin a nice glow.
Caudalie is my daily mist that I use in the morning and at night. During my trip, I kept this in my beach bag to reapply while on the beach. The refreshing formula hydrates my skin. It gives a quick boost throughout the day. This ensures I stay radiant even under the sun.

My Dermalogica skincare collection is crazy! I was trained by Dermalogica while in school to become an esthetician. As a result, I have a more favorable side to using this amazing product line. They have a wide variety of skin care products that to suit your facial routine. Additionally, I try to reserve a few moments in the morning and evening to focus on skincare. I find that this ritual benefits your skin. It also provides a few peaceful moments for a jam-packed itinerary like ours was!

Carefor Mouthwash packets are easy to stash in a carry-on or in your purse. They are effective and leaves your mouth refreshed.
My dear friend, Jas, gifted me a personalized box filled with specialty items. This was how I was introduced to MUTHA Deodorant a few years ago. I love this product because the natural ingredients, arrowroot and tapioca starch, do more than cover up odor. They actually absorb excess moisture. This has been my go-to deodorant ever since.
Typically, anything with a blend of hyaluronic acid, shea butter, coconut oil and grapefruit gets me every time! MONDAY is one of my shower stables, so it was a no-brainer to pack the mini travel size bottles.
I kept up with my skin care rituals while on vacation. I did not have any breakouts, sunburn or dry skin after returning back to the States. Maintaining your skin care routine while you’re away benefits you when you return back to your normal environment. This was the best girls’ trip. It was filled with nothing but laughs, relaxation, and fun in the sun. My beautiful friend, Nicole (the cutie in the sun hat), sure does know how to plan a luxury birthday trip!
Until next time!
