with this post, i kinda wanted to showcase a few of my daily favs. although they are very simple additions to highlighting one’s beauty, they add a significant amount of definition to a lady’s features. hope you find this useful!
lash glamour extreme lengthening mascara is bobbi brown’s new gold standard for ultra-long, perfectly separated lashes. any woman who wants long-wearing, well-defined lashes should think about this product. with this product my lashes look natural, darker, fuller and lengthened.
the Bobbi Brown consultant told me “just one sweep” that i’ll get noticeably longer lashes and perfect separation. she was right! this formula is enriched with olive-derived emollients, vitamin b, and humectants that will condition lashes while staying smudge and flake-free. i brush lash glamour extreme lengthening mascara from base of lashes to the tip. i apply two coats, letting mascara dry between coats.
a few tips…..
- don’t pump the wand in and out of the bottle. this pushes air into the tube which will make the mascara dry out faster causing clumping and flaking. instead, gently twist the back and forth or in circular motions to pick up the desired amount of product.
- when you remove the wand from the bottle make sure to scrap off any excess mascara from the wand. this will help you avoid making your lashes clumpy.
- whether you start with your top or bottom lashes is completely up to you, although beginning with the bottom lashes will prevent those tiny dots that appear on your eyelids when you look down to apply mascara to your bottom lashes. for the top lashes, look straight forward, take the wand and place it at the base of your lashes. using a back-and-forth motion while moving the wand up your lashes. this will help give your lashes a curled effect. when it comes to the bottom lashes, tilt your head forward slightly to keep from getting mascara onto your cheek.
a perfume should be a veil of scent that reveals your personality, character and emotions. how do you select a perfume that suits you and enhances your beauty? in my opinion, a woman’s perfume should be her signature. my suggestion is to choose a perfume that suits your skin, feelings and personality-not what’s just popular. also, your scent should evoke particular memories and feelings. i rarely tell the name of my perfume, but i’m always receiving compliments on it. bloomingdale’s and nordstrom has the best selection of fragrances. in my opinion, a lady’s fragrance should not be over powering, yet a statement. so choose wisely.
here’s a fyi: for daily use, an eau de toilette (a type of perfume with a medium-low concentrate; usually less expensive) is ideal for giving you a discreet scent. this can be applied to perfumed lotions and powders, which gives the skin a more delicate fragrance. if you’re going for more of a statement on a sexier occasion or a girls’ nights out go for perfume or eau de parfum (medium-high concentrate; more expensive).
elle magazine says, “it’s often said you should wear perfume wherever you want to be embraced!” perfume is a seduction weapon, so make it work for you by applying it to strategic zones: your neck (including the nape), décolleté, around your ear and the inside of your wrist. halle berry stated on jimmy kimble last year, spritz your perfume between your inner thighs because the friction will keep the fragrance activate…..she was right!
this is hands down the BEST exfoliator i’ve ever used. i fell in love with dermalogica in 2006 while i was in school for skin care. i use it every other day and find that it doesn’t irritate my skin at all, because it is gentle not scratchy like some of the more gritty ones and non-fragranced. my skin feels smooth and fresh afterwards, not raw. this product is a powder you mix with water to make a loose paste to exfoliate with. it is not harsh at all and i love that it has the faint smell of rice. it is great to use in the morning. my personal recommendation would be to use it and let it sit on your face while taking a warm shower; steam helps to maximize the product’s potential.
meet turkish delight! i love love love this lip gloss. it really is the perfect shimmery pink without being too much….. its almost sheer with a nude look. nars describes this lip gloss as a serious shine and sexy color in sheer, creamy and semi-sheer formulas. i like to wear it alone, but it works as a great addition to put on top of a darker color to bring a little extra drama.
the taste too!
this is a bonus! if you haven’t tried this champagne, you’re missing out. for one, its not too bubbly where it is hard to find the flavor. next, the flavor is very crisp and refreshing, yet there’s a spark that hits you as the bubbles begin to settle. may i suggest that the next time you are in a celebratory mood this should be apart of it.
hope you enjoyed my favorite things:part 1. thanks for reading
